To me, the BB54 looks pretty decent. Sizing that's true to the vintage model. No red at 12, no gilt bezel markers. They seem to depreciate a fair bit, so it would be easy to find good deals in the second hand market. There's Japanese sellers on C24 with new stock and good deals sometimes too.

Pelagos 39 design is also appealing to me, but the grade-2 Titanium isn't. Feels like they compromised on materials. I assume that cannibalizing sales from Rolex must be a concern in general.

It's a very lovely watch. I almost bought a BB54 several years ago. I was at the AD, money in hand, fully intent on purchase. I can't pinpoint Exactly what it was that made me not purchase one, but I didn't and have since moved on. Definitely there is something about the dial that I find more attractive than a 6-digit sub dial, though.

They are too small for me, but every time I've seen someone with a BB54 it's looked really good at a glance. The proportions look really good on the wrist.

That's probably what it was.

I've owned the Tudor BB Harrods since September and I absolutely love it. I understand some have concerns with the case thickness, look of the riveted bracelet, etc. but I honestly don't mind it as my wrist is on the larger size. With that said, yesterday I visited my local Rolex AD and placed my name on their interest list for a Submariner. I've wanted a Submariner for many years and will work it into my rotation if I can snag one. Stating the obvious, beauty is in the eye of the beholder...there's no right or wrong.

I love the symmetry of the square indices and snowflake hanks on a Pelagos

It was 7 months at a local AD before I got this one. One can be gotten with a little patience.

Congratulations! It's a beautiful timepiece. My AD told me that since I want the non-date model the wait shouldn't be too long, fingers crossed.

Looking at the pictures here of both Rolexes and Tudors, I think the flat crystal may--- TO ME---- have a huge impact on my preference. Light definitely plays a lot differently off of a domed crystal than a flat one.

I have a BB58 in black and I love it. Nothing like a modern Rolex (which I would personally never buy), a different animal. The domed crystal is subtle but a really cool detail and I love the 38-39mm size for my 7 1/4” wrist.

The new BB41 Master Chronometer with the red bezel is amazing looking as well and I also love the old “smiley” 41 with the red bezel and rose logo.

The in house movement has been fantastic , I lost about 1 second over 5 days recently.

Can’t think of a better watch in the $3-$4k range.

I like this one. Daytona-ish and didn’t take years on a list. But that’s not why I got it. Kind of a cross between speedy pro and a seamaster.
