2023 Planet Ocean?

What are everyone's thoughts on whether there will be a 2023 update to the Planet Ocean line, and if so, what is everyone hoping for? I hope they slim the watch down slightly, offer a white dial version with a less "in-your-face" bezel color, and offer lumed bezels for multiple configurations. Wishful thinking...

Anyone thinking it's possible to see an update this year?

I sure hope so, but who knows. I own the 39.5 mm PO, and the Diver 300M. They are both great watches, and sooooooo close to perfect for my 6.75 in wrist. Just not quite there. Flatten the PO a bit, and I'll buy another.

Make the PO 41mm and thinner, slap an Ultra Deep style bracelet on it, and put a GMT movement in and I'll trade in all of my watches for it.

I never understood a GMT complication on a diver, with a helium escape valve to boot

It's a good way to save development costs by repurposing a rotating dive bezel into a GMT bezel but unlike Rolex, Omega didn't remove the dive part for some reason so the watches are just fat

For when you are swimming across timezones 😉

Yes, on April 1, Omega announced they would slim down the Planet Ocean by 5mm.

It's just added functionality, especially if they put both a dive and 24 hour scale on the bezel like so:

Bruce Williams wondered the same thing in his latest video. Didn't have any answers but some nice shots of a PO once you get past the 1 min intro.

I'm really hoping for an update soon. I'd love a PO version of the orange Ultra Deep. Especially love the lack of a date at 3.

I think most people who dive are traveling somewhere to do it. Makes sense to me. You don't have to be using all of a watch's functions simultaneously for them to be useful.

If you where a deep sat diver you would know it makes more sense then the diving bezel.

Bring back the 8500 matt dial and bezel too. The 8900 is way too blingy, at least for me!

This is SUCH a great looking watch. If it weren't for the bracelet I'd already own it. No offense to anyone but I really think the current mesh bracelet fad is gonna be pretty dated in ten years.

I prefer the 8500 dial since it has the applied numerals. Here is a picture to prove it 😀
