Now this is more like it. Clearly heavily leaning on the original Explorer 2, with applied Sub style hour markers without white gold surrounds, no crown guards, 39mm and matte black dial.

It’s bordering on a homage but out of all the Rolex/Tudor sports releases I’ve seen this morning, this is my favourite.

Yep, me too. Like a lot and will be in the market for one fairly soon I think!

edit - I have just seen that it’s the same thickness as the 41mm at 14.6mm so may be a non-runner

If it is as slab-sided as that one, I'm out. Does it have the exposed crown tube as well??

It seems like Rolex/Tudor knows exactly what people want and then build a watch that is 85% of its potential. Keeps the customer base hungry, I guess.

It appears not to from the photos above. I guess this is one that will need to be tried on first. Proportions are similar to the 39mm planet ocean

I like this a lot. Definitely going on my list of possibles. In some of the photos, the lume looks aged, not white, so I definitely want to see in person to judge how it looks. But I also like the new steel/gold variant at 41mm. Decisions, decisions!

This video shows it "in the metal" so to speak. Too thick for me but I'm loving the direction of Tudor these days...

I like it. I was hoping for a Ranger, but this is nice. What a shame it is so thick. I will need to see that in person to be sure about the thickness, but at this stage I would be saying no for me. (I suppose thats for the GMT?)

Why is this called the Pro??

I like it a lot, also looks like they’ve put a slightly more vintage inspired crown. Doubt seeing it in real life will be an option, not for a while at least.

In all seriousness, one of my main hold-ups on the GMT was the thickness.
But I liked the watch enough that I decided it wouldn't stop me, and yeah while it is definitely on the chunky side, I've sort of grown to like it.

That GMT hand really pops, I like how that looks. I wonder if at 39mm it may be a bit too small. I would check it out though.

You can see in the picture above it’s another slab of metal and at 39mm 🤦

to put that into Rolex SA context: this thing is basically a full mm taller than the SkyDweller, while also being 3mm shorter

When you say it like that, it doesn’t sound great. Going to need to see this as outside of that it ticks a lot of boxes.
