·I really like these. Actually thinking about getting one as my first speedmaster. All the color combos are great, imo. I haven't had a chance to go by my local OB to try them out yet but I'm looking forward to it!

·I actually liked the slightly smaller previous edition of this, and I like the strap. Others with much more knowledge have spoken to the counter of my opinions. Nevertheless, they are nice new speedmasters in my opinion.

The previous bi-compax version like this was both wider and thicker. Perhaps you are confusing it with the 1957 Trilogy limited edition? Omega likes to use '57 moniker on a lot of Speedmaster editions, unfortunately!

Just received mine. (Black dial shown above) I was originally looking for the green but for me this was much better. Greater detail than the color pieces. I have a smallish wrist and it works well. Much better fit than my Dark Side. The build quality is really nice. I would put it on par with many of my finer watches. Report back after a couple of weeks on the wrist.

·That's great to hear regarding build quality! Yes, I think the sandwich dial + the general look of the black is a big upgrade over the colours. IMHO, of course.
