2021 Speedmaster all-black cordura strap or Silver Snoopy 20/18 contrast stitch - which is nicer?

Saving money is nice but it would be much more convenient buying the strap from an OB and having them install it (assuming qualified tech is available). We aren't talking massive savings between a Omega branded strap and a JR made strap compared to the value of the watch.
My understanding is JR make the Omega straps so it will identical minus the branding. Any saving in that case is a bit of a bonus then I think

It's certainly a factor.
But i think only the Omega variant has the springbar inserts. I went genuine Omega for that reason plus it was easier than going another route for me at the time.
I also understand Omega has tightened up in that area as the Silver Snoopy strap is now deemed to be exclusive to that watch.
The strap used to be available through the Omega catalogue. But I don't know if it's still in there?
So it's hard to get one in these parts unless a serial number has been provided and or the watch has been sighted by the Boutique before they will place the order.

That's interesting, haven't heard that. I suppose the 50th Snoopy blue strap will follow suit, it has the Apollo 13 route embossed on the back.

As above, what do you think would look better on a 3861 sapphire?

Think I might prefer the contrast stitching with the 20/18 size.

Thanks!

Another vote for contrast stitching if you can get it. Very sharp look

I bought my 3861 on bracelet but then saw the cordura strap. I went with the all black. It鈥檚 nice to have options.

my vote is contrast...

question.....when people post "springbar inserts"..are they referring to quick release spring bars?

Lastly, anyway of providing the p/n of the snoopy 20/18 strap and how much they go for....

No, they mean the plastic moldings built into the strap ends which add form and stability.

Go for the Snoopy strap! That contrasting stitches really brings out and complements the details on the dial. I put one on my Apollo XV 40th anniversary LE and couldn鈥檛 be happier.

It was still available to order from OBs last year.

Good to know it's still accessible.
Around these parts they've tightened up on these things馃檨

After I picked mine up, I thought it might be the last one I'll ever get my hands on as they made it clear my acquisition was a fluke and it won't happen again馃

I think the white thread is "too" white and the contrast with black cordura draws attention from the dial. If you don't like black on black, the 3rd way is grey thread. Omega did a black cordura with grey thread for the AT Aston Martin (ref CWZ004526). Swiss Watch Spares has it on their website. Otherwise you might be able to pick one up aftermarket if you're patient and JR should still be able to custom make it.

Here's the Aston Martin:

Interested to know whether Genteel do custom Cordura straps to specific length and where does this company ship from?

Genteel straps are made and shipped from Romania. Custom work is their specialty, send them a note.

Snoopy 2 in my humble opinion - black dial with white hands / indexes, black strap with white stitches.

I cannot get my eyes off the step dial in the new speedmasters - I loved it when they did it in the ST2 (Ultraman) and since then I was in love in that detail that resonates with the past. Going with it now to all new modern variants is just great in my view.

Is the padding the same as with other straps? Also the end close to the case seems more 芦 curved 禄 or is it just me?
