2021 Speedmaster all-black cordura strap or Silver Snoopy 20/18 contrast stitch - which is nicer?

As above, what do you think would look better on a 3861 sapphire?

Think I might prefer the contrast stitching with the 20/18 size.

Two fantastic options for that strap monster...okay, I'll go with door #1 and the contrast stitiching,.

How can you go wrong? Beauty!

Yeah me too I think. I also like the slightly wider taper- I already have the trident clasp and *possibly* prefer that to the 16mm one.

Going to try and get JR to make one of these for me without the omega mark-up…

I love the contrast stitching - here is what it looks like on an alligator strap. You can't go wrong with either. Speedmaster looks great on everything.

I’d go with Silver Snoopy strap that has the 18mm clasp. There are a lot more 20/18 straps available vs 20/16.

My new Speedy came with their new plain black corduba strap. I had never worn a strap like that and wasn't sure how I'd like it. Well I love it 😀 I find it to be the most comfortable especially for everyday use. However I think I'll have to source one of those with the white stitching 😉

It's typically around $250 pretax in the US from an OB for an OEM strap. 18mm clasp will run you another $250.

Saving money is nice but it would be much more convenient buying the strap from an OB and having them install it (assuming qualified tech is available). We aren't talking massive savings between a Omega branded strap and a JR made strap compared to the value of the watch.

I have to agree.
I bought the genuine Omega Silver Snoopy strap 20/18 and Deployant for my 1861 and I also appreciate having the inserts where the Spring bar passes through.

If I'm not mistaken, non-genuine straps don't have the inserts👎

It's not like the appearance of the watch will be diminished either way.
Perhaps get both straps and switch them when the mood dictates?

Are you only seeking a non-genuine alternative to the Omega strap?
I rather like the strap provided on the 3861 myself and may pick that one up.

JR makes the OEM Omega strap so it's not like buying the JR strap is buying a cheaper alternative.
