I just think it is a little off to the function. I like the small seconds function on a dressier watch, like a De Villa or a Cellini, but an AT? I agree that perhaps they could have framed the date window (since they are keeping the function). And that way they could do a 3 bubble dial that at least would be original....but still, why on the AT line?

Less horrible than the renderings. At least they're trying! Rolex? "Hey, check out this dial color, the rest of it is the same!"

Imho, the date should have been at the 3 position (with or without a truncated marker) 😒

I've found some of Omega's renderings just awful! Agreed that it looks better with actual photographs, and I'm guessing even better in the metal. I'm heading to my AD for other reasons in just over a week; I'll see if they have one of these in stock to throw on wrist.

There's even an outer track with the exact same numbers that a standard seconds hand could use to track the seconds more accurately.
I can't unsee this now! haha...thanks for pointing it out! 😲

Not my cup of tea but why are there 19 variations of the same watch? I guess the cost to keep this many SKUs is less than sales from 19 people with different preferences.
Omega is floundering, design-wise. Rolex will continue to eat their lunch.

In fairness here, that also corresponds with the minutes elapsed in an hour...so not ridiculous here in my opinion.

I was at a watch store yesterday ( getting a Santos de Cartier for the wife…. Beautiful watch btw) and was looking at the dressier lines like Patek etc. Several small seconds iterations there.

I think that’s the miss for me. I relate small seconds to finer dressier lines like a constellation or a de Ville in Omega. I like the AT for its versatility as a sporty watch that can dress up or down like the Rolex OP or DJ lines or even in function an explorer. This (to me) changes the character of the watch.

outside of that and at a more personal level I don’t like the way it looks. Specially the white dial. It’s not elegant. Everything on that dial seems over stated.

I mean, when you look straight up to a steel sports watch and the most subtle thing is the case I think you have a problem.

An engineering and economic effort in a wrong direction, why not use that energy in developing:

A 40 mm AT…a thinner PO, a sword hands seamaster…a no HE valve diver…a…

Too much going on with the dial for me, especially given how carefully the time/date ATs manage that tricky balance of dial colours, indices, textures, handset, etc.

Not sure if this has been posted, but Hodinkee weighs in:

The other piece – the 41mm two-tone number (now we're talkin') felt like an entirely different watch, the 3mm difference between these two pieces is visually staggering. The two-tone Sedna gold case, with the blue dial and matching blue rubber strap caught me off-guard when I first opened the watch box. I wasn't expecting this color combo, but it grew on me, especially when I noticed the little design flourishes. In full Omega fashion, the dial is over-engineered, with the precise laser-engraved pattern that adds so much character and depth. Now, everyone has an opinion about date windows, but I think this one adds another point of visual interest – even if it is wildly large.

I'm a huge fan of the AT 41mm in white and part of the reason is the orange seconds hand. That obviously gets lost on this one:

The date window is really bothersome to me..
I'm more bothered by the lack of index under the window.

I like the AT but these ones are not for me and that's good. Therefore there are so many choices so there should be something for everyone. I've seen similar watch types from other manufacturers which I like better. I don't know if it's the position of the ss, the design ... I can't tell. Maybe it's the wrong watch line?
