·OEM deployants are well made. Should last forever unless abused. Have a couple of them and two of them are over 10 years old. The mechanism is great, but there’s one issue aesthetically. The applied logo on the new style tends to fall off if knocked over something.

Edit* the clasp has seen me through 3 different Speedmasters since then! First an Silver dial Automatic Date 3513.50, then an Automatic Reduced 3510.50 now with the Pro as seen here with custom Horween strap:
Although I am going to get a second clasp now, maybe the new version for the Pro and this old version for my Silver dial Automatic Triple Date.

·Deployant clasps aren't normally a wear item. I have two Omega DP's and lots of generic ones (Hadley Roma, Fluco, etc) and I've never had one fail. There have been a few Omega ones that had spring failures, but don't know how often that happens.
