Would anyone know the final conclusion to the question of putting a Speedy 60th bracelet on the blue CK2998? Trying to dig through old threads and google search, I saw that there were issues and it wasn't a perfect fit. However, I do not remember nor could I find if there was a work around? For instance, changing the end links out? Or, is the only option going with the 1125/560 bracelet? What ended up being the problem with the end links?

I am, of course, operating under the assumption that the new CK case will be identical to the blue CK version. I know case diameter for both CKs are the same. The lug widths are 19mm for the CKs as well as the 60th.

I have made my reservation for this new ck2998 and I'm quite excited. I would love to be able to fit the 60th bracelet to this watch if there is a way to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

My 1125/560 fit my CK-2998 LE decently, However there was a slight gap between the end links and case. In most photos you can't see the gap. But you can clearly see it in a photo from another 2998 owner, and then in my photo.

But you can't see it all the time.

However, I preferred it on a 20mm gunmetal grey NATO. When I went to sell the bracelet, I ended up trading the whole watch for a TT blue Submariner. When I went to consider trading to get the CK-2998 LE back I discovered that it had been stolen in a break-in a couple of weeks prior. I felt that it wore slightly small on my wide wrists, but was sad nevertheless.

Thank you for the pics and thoughts on the 1125 bracelet fit, very helpful. Sorry to hear about the theft.

I'm in the same boat that the ck will be a bit small on my wrist and the smallest I own right along side the 116500. However, love the looks. Like the Daytona, the steel bracelet will 'beef' it up a bit so it doesn't feel quite as small next to my others.

    CK2998 on a 1565-976 bracelet. No gaps.

This bracelet would be my choice. I'm also considering placing an order for the new CK. It looks great IMO.

That is the speedy racing bracelet and the one I had when I had my CK2998 (regrettably I chopped it in for something else). Perfect fit, although some prefer the more vintage feel of the other one pointed out. I still have it knocking about if anyone was ever interested.

Well, it's a small gap, so no biggie, right? Just enjoy it.

In my case, I like the larger Speedmaster Professional and I felt that the CK2998 LE was slightly small on my wide wrists due to the blue chapter ring making the dial look smaller (iPhone camera always makes a watch look bigger in selfies). I still missed it though, and when I couldn't get the 2998 back, I recently picked up two modern Speedmaster Pro 42mm - which are being modded with a white Italian dial on one, and a Mitsukoshi white dial with black panda sub-dials. So one of them will be like having a larger 2998 with black instead of blue.
