1st Vintage Omega - Seamaster Cal. 560 - Help Understanding?

First off, thank you to everyone on this site for being such a great resource. Although, I'm new here, I have been reading posts here for the better part of the last 8 months just trying to learn as much as I can. I've definitely caught the vintage watch bug. 😉

I picked this up from goodwill for $279 after tax + shipping. Here's what I've been able to figure out:
Omega Seamaster reference: 166.002 or 166.(0)002 in OVD
Serial number: 23,XXX,XXX dates to 1966
Calibre: 560 - only 3,000 made, majority for sale in US market by Norman Morris, per Desmond's article
Rounded S vs coat hanger style: Consistent with time period
Swiss Made T at 6:00: Consistent with lume on hands and hour indices and year (tritium vs older radium)

Questions:
- My main questions are regarding cal. 560. I have read Desmond's article on the subject and another by Hans Jorgen, but most of the information is 8-12 yrs old now. Have there been any newer developments that I can read about?

- As I understand it, Cal. 560s were cased in the US by Norman Morris and have the import code OXG which was assigned to Norman Morris. This movement appears to have the OXG mark (see 2nd to last picture). However this article by Hans Jorgen indicates that model 166.002 was cased in Switzerland. https://www.watchprosite.com/omega/calibre-560-for-the-us-market/677.573541.3558246/
Does this mean that you would not expect an OXG mark on a cal. 560 from model 166.002?

- What is the general consensus on this watch? No need to be kind as I want to learn and this will be a fun one to wear no matter what! The crown is unsigned and I assume a replacement, but the hands, dial and text seemed correct to me. The "Swiss Made T" at 6:00 is not visible while in the case. Is that a concern?

- Finally I see some people hide the serial number while others do not. Is it best practice to conceal the full serial number?

Looks like a good deal to me. Get her cleaned and oiled and possibly replace the crown if it bothers you but I see a nice honest used watch in your pics.

Nice, but you may have to look into repairing those lugs - looks like a bracelet severely attacked the insides

OXG identifies a watch sold TO the US. That doesn't necessarily mean it was CASED in the US.

You're not kidding, Sherbie! I managed to cut myself on one of the jagged edges when I first unboxed it. Someone sure did a number on it at some point.

It does look like it but I think it's the reflection of the upper curve in 5 in the date window surround.
