    Hello OF!

I am looking to part with my Omega Seamaster Professional Automatic Reference 2531.80 from 1994. Serial No. 49.5 million putting it in what looks like the second production run of this model. The first production run did not have a signed He Escape valve crown but they added it at the end of 1993. The He valve crown is signed on this one.

While there are plenty of SMPs around the early ones have all aged differently. This one has a medium blue/grey dial that looks pale in direct sun and sometimes vibrant navy/grey in other light. The bezel is pretty clean, with a few marks but they blend in well with its aluminum reflective effect. The dial markers are tritium and have aged to a perfect pumpkin. The hands are original and show some moderate tarnishing. These early Seamasters did not have lume that aged the same on the hands and the dial, so the mismatch is correct for its age. The tip of the second’s hand has faded to a vibrant electric orange, not pale/pinkish.

The bezel action is snappy with a little wiggle. The bracelet is pretty clean but has hairlines from wear. Most of the watch’s life was on the bracelet, evidently because the back of the lugs have marks from the bracelet rubbing. Overall it's a clean and honest example. It was reportedly serviced prior to my acquisition in 2019 and ran within COSC when I acquired it. I have not tested its timing since, but haven’t noticed any accuracy issues.

It comes in the original box that is (like many vintage Omega boxes) looking rough, with the original bracelet. Currently, it is sized for my 6.5-inch wrist and has 3 full links and 2 half links in the box. The original unsigned warranty card is also included.

Please see the photos and videos as they are very good descriptors.

I would like to sell but I would be open to trades. I am asking (a lower price on OF because I love you guys) $2750 USD via paypal/venmo/veem, shipped CONUS. International shipping at cost and risk to the buyer.

    Interested trades:
Cartier Tank (small, steel or YG, quarts or manual)
Two Tone Santos de Cartier/Santos Galbee (medium)

    Oris Aquis 39.5 + cash
Other cool fun divers + cash

See all the glamour shots I've taken over the 3.5 years of ownership below

DM me with any questions or concerns. I'd be happy to hop on a call/Facetime with any interested buyers.

    Thanks for your time!

    Jake

Hi, fantastic pictures and your Seamaster looks stunning. Do you mind me asking what bracelet is pictured (it really suits the watch)?

It’s an Uncle Straps bracelet instead Ed for the Speedy but I bent the endlinks to fit the SMP better.
