198.029 Skin Diver 300Hz Stem/Crown Question

Cal. 1260 Day/Date stem pulls out of movement easily. It will engage the key works occasionally but pulls out if pulled too hard (not crazy hard. I'm not ridiculous).

Should I replace the stem/crown?
Should I disassemble the movement and investigate the key works? I am an novice and know these coils and date wheels are nimble.

Anyone have experience and a recommendation?

That movement has a lot of parts, but I think it's harder to find the day-date variations - for parts

So as long as you don't damage the dial/hands, I think there will always be a path out of every mistake

The pallet fork is the only thing that's nimble in that movement, in my opinion, the weakest link, the electronic parts are pretty robust and modular

Most likely the set lever and or the stem could be worn. Easier to replace the stem first and see it that fixes it.
