Hi guys I have a great looking speedmaster for sale today for you guys, i am including a period correct speedmaster crown with this watch that is not in the pictures. This watch will look great when complete This one is a 1978 speedmaster professional in original untouched condition. Could use a service and some TLC but as you can see this watch is exactly as found. Dial: shows signs of patina with a light brown coffee color patina to the lume indices, hands are original and have aged to a dark coffee color and look great in person. The crystal is intact with signs of wear and minor cracking would recommend replacing upon service Bezel: period correct DNN bezel showing signs of minor wear, the bezel has turned a nice ghost/purple hue and looks excellent in different light. Small chipping as seen in pictures overall very attractive and also original to the watch. Movement: clean cal 861in need of a service, winds and runs as should chrono hand works however the start stop function is working as both the start and reset. Chrono Hands Total’s back to zero in exception of the hour counter which works but does not reset at the moment. Service history unknown. Case: case is in excellent and very sharp what looks to be unpolished condition still having grime on the case as seen in photos. Very nice sharp bevels and factory brushing and polishing. I am also including a correct crown to complete the wath, the crown was put on at some point in the watches life. Asking $3500 USD plus ship i have references here, full refund if grossly misinterpreted or non authentic. Contact me at [email protected] or here in PM’s. Watch located in canada Thanks, Joel
Hi guys, for clarification purposes the watch is a -78 i have a picture of the caseback here. The models are nearly identical aside from the year. The movement also dates to 1978 it was a communication error between the member i purchased the watch from. I have a picture of the movement and serial # for those who would like that as well. Thanks!
Can you please post the movement photo? It is okay if the last few digits of the movement get blurred to you feel comfortable posting it.
