1973 vintage watch to celebrate Bday

I'm really grateful to this community. I joined to assist my brother and now sparked my interest in getting a vintage Omega watch for myself. My birthday is coming up, and it would be amazing if I could find a reasonably priced 1973 model. Does anyone have any recommendations for a 1973 Ref. model that I should look for? Thanks in advance!

"Reasonably priced" is pretty open ended. It depends upon what you want. Speedmaster? Seamaster? Constellation? DeVille? Dress watch, sports watch, diver, chronograph? And how much do you want to spend?

Perhaps a Seamaster indifferent if dress or sport not overpriced.

We really don't know what you want, maybe you can post some photos of watches that appeal to you to give us a hint. Dive watch, dressy sport watch, chronograph?

Longines might be a good place to start.

edit: I didn’t see the OP was asking for omega specifically. Sorry.

These can double as a weapon in a bar fight too, they are quite large. 😁
Thx but aesthetically not pleasing my eyes!

A nice c-case connie can be had in your price range. Without looking hard, here is one I came up with. It is overpriced by a couple hundred.

$800
OK, that's helpful. Rules out any of the SM120 dive watches and also chronographs.
