·I am offering for sale my Cosmic 2000 dive watch. I bought it in 2013 and had it serviced then, and again in November 2018. The crown had to be replaced at the last service (the original crown seems to be a weak point of this model) but the service crown is almost identical in appearance and you wouldn't know without close scrutiny. The dial is original, unrefinished and virtually perfect. The hands are original and so is all the lume, which is in good shape. The watch has its original bezel, which have mostly been replaced. The bezel rotates freely and is in good condition apart from a slight knock at 18, also slight surface delamination which doesn't detract and is invariably present on original bezels.
The watch is a comfortable fit on my 7 inch wrist with a bit of room to spare. The bracelet is the correct model and I am sure it is original to the watch. There is very little wear to the case, with one tiny dink on the back near the crown and no other bumps or scratches. The bracelet has the usual numerous but slight scratches from wear. The 1012 movement allows for easy adjustment of the date without the pull-push of its predecessor the 565. The last watchmaker took a movement photo as I asked but it wasn't a very good one and you can't read the serial number, so I can only say that it's mid 1970s. I can't open it to take another photo as it's a front loader.
This watch is in a 38mm case. It has serious wrist presence and is running beautifully. I have only worn it about 3 times since its last service as I now wear my Watchco instead. I can't afford the luxury of keeping both and this one has to go, as will a few others in the near future. Finally, yes it's a dive watch but it's also about 45 years old and if you wear it swimming, in the shower etc I will not refund your money if it stops working.
I am asking £1000 net to me, to include Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK. I'm basing this price on ebay sold prices of £1200-1500 for the same model with no proof of service and in lesser condition, making allowance for the avoidance of their commission and of the general PITA of an ebay auction. I would much prefer a UK sale but will consider an EU sale at a push. I will accept payment by Paypal F and F, a bank transfer or a UK personal cheque and will ship as soon as funds have cleared.
