For sale is this very cool vintage dive watch from Caravelle. Its dates from approximately 1970.

Condition wise, this is in perfect vintage condition with scuffs and scratches to the case but zero signs of polishing etc. The case size is 36mm but it does have a decent amount of wrist presence due to the big crown and bezel etc. 20mm lugs.

One point to note is the friction bezel spins freely on the case. It is firmly and securely attached but the friction ring which sits under the bezel must need some adjusting. This has never really bothered me and would be easily fixed for someone semi competent.

The dial and hands are what make this watch watch if you ask me. Explorer style 12,3,6 and 9 dial in pretty much flawless condition with only tiny imperfections that are consummate with age. No signs of water damage as is often the case with old dive watches watches.

The manual wind movement is running well and was serviced in April 2020 but I have no proof of this. It really does wind well so I have no reason to doubt this.

The watch will come on the period correct Oyster bracelet pictured. This is not a Caravelle bracelet but must have been paired with the watch for many a year as it has similar wear to the rest of the watch. I have a few spare links so hopefully it should fit most wrist sizes.

I’d like £550 including RSMD anywhere in the UK please. Overseas buyers, we can discuss shipping.

Congrats to the seller and new buyer. These are great watches, and rapidly becoming more collectible (along with the 665-1 automatics, though those are increasingly pricey (x2-3 this) and hard to find).

Yeah, that are great watches for not much money. The only reason I’m selling is that I’m trying to consolidate 3 watches into one.
