Dear ΩF

For your consideration is a beautiful Speedmaster 105.012-66 CB in absolutely superb original condition.

I consider this in better-than-museum condition. If you have been to the Omega Museum in Biel, you will know what I mean. To me, its at the upper end of the attraction/condition scale. All parts to my eye are factory original ... the dial, the hands ... the case has not seen a polishing wheel.

Watch was serviced in late 2018, by Mr Simon Freese. I can provide the service certificate, if desired.

This is how I found it.

Dial and Hands

Clicking my pictures should yield high resolution pics.

The mat black dial is in beautiful condition, and has no flaws whatsoever. The dial lume is a stunning pumpkin-soup color, with some darkening on some plot.

All hands are original to this watch, and are correct. The lume on the hands matches the dial, and the UV light test, in a dark room, yields the exact fade-off between hands and dial.

Crystal

This is the only part that may not be original. It doesn't have an Omega symbol in the center. It was quite used and abused as can be seen in the pictures, and I have seen some watches without the omega sign in the center, so I left it as is ... simply had it polished to perfection at service. To me this is a non-issue, considering the rest of the watch.

Bezel

The bezel is in excellent condition. Wear has faded it a touch, but there are no major dings, or any chips. It truly fit the aesthetic of the watch.

The Case/Pushers/Crown

The pushers are the correct short-fat pushers found on the 105.012's. The crown is also correct. The case is in unpolished, and to me is in stand-out condition. The 105.012-66CB case is a very rare speedmaster case made by a different company to the regular cases at the time, in order (I beleive) to fill a gap in production. It was never fitted onto any other reference. Another difference by the manufacturer was the extremely find brushing applied to the side of the case. After almost 60 years of life, these usually fade ... but if you look inbetween the pushers, where no natural friction can occur due to the pushers being in the way, it can usually be seen. This case shows the original fine factory brushing, and the facets on the CB case are still razor sharp.

Don't worry, I was very careful with my dremel vice ... and it has soft rubber clamps. I couldn't do the shots on the table without getting the sun straight down my lens ...

Bracelet

The bracelet fits my 6.5inch wrist, with about 4 spare links ... it can be sized to fit anybodies wrist ...

It is stamped 2 / 68. Links are the correct 516's.

Caseback

The caseback is correct, and has regular wear from age, but like the rest of the watch, is unpolished. The hippocampus is clearly defined, as to be expected. I see I forgot to take an external picture (I can do that) ... and the internal pic is of poor quality ... my apologies. This picture was taken pre-service, and I am not a skilled case-back opener ...

Movement

As mentioned the movement was serviced in 2018 by Mr Simon Freese. I don't think it needs a service any time soon. Winds crisply.

This was a pre-service shot.
Not much has changed, I simply don't have the skill to open the caseback without damaging something, and I apologise for the poor quality picture. The movement is in pristine condition ...

Photo Dump

Here some shots taken with great pleasure ...

Terms and conditions. 14000 CHF (USD | EURO | GBP equivalent) wired directly to my Wise account. Bank-wire will be local to you, so no stress there. More currencies are available upon request. No trades this time thanks.

The watch and I are in Switzerland, and so F2F could happen here. I could arrange to meet at a border location (e.g. Germany...to be discussed). I will accept a wire directly to my Swiss bank account too, however that will be in CHF, and will thus cost you conversion and transfer fees. Paypal F&F will be accepted, in CHF as specified. I use Wise as it saves you on these fees, and is a local transaction for us both. Returns are accepted only if grossly misrepresented. You will get what you see in these pictures which are of a decent quality and high resolution, so I don't believe there is any chance of misrepresentation.

Shipping (plus insurance) to wherever you are in the world will be at your expense (to be discussed). EU postage can be arranged.

Lots of references here.

I have 100% positive reviews (upon request) on other platforms too.

All criticisms about the watch are welcome.

Thanks ΩF for this space
