Only pics I have so far. I’ll see it in the flesh sooner than later. Does it look ok? I’ve got 8 Rolex but nothing like this and I feel I’m out of my league and this being my dream watch I’m Looking for advice. What’s a fair price? is it original? I’ll hopefully have so pics of the movement sooner than later.

Better pics would help. Especially of the lugs from the side. From what little I can see from the crown guards, it looks like has received some serious polishing(s).

Dial and hands look ok but bigger pictures would help to confirm this. As you were told already, the case is over polished. Also the end links are missing and the bezel seems to be worn out. Insert looks nice though. If the 1675 is your dream watch I´d keep looking because there are way better examples out there.

I’m going to look at it hopefully this weekend. He has the original strap with end pieces. I know the pics are horrible but he hasn’t sent others yet. If the movement is correct without major repairs what’s a fair price? I wish I could go out and buy a nice example, it’s just not financially possible at this point in my life.

Really hard to tell that it's as polished as people suppose based on those photos. The crown guards usually appear more polished than the lugs and I feel like there's a chamfer on the right lug, though again pictures are pretty rough. The lume is all there and as long as none of those spots are on the dial I think it's a pretty attractive piece - the pictures are washed out so I'm sure it looks a heck of a lot better in person.

It's a Mark 1 dial (would need to see more clear pictures of the ROLEX to make sure it's not touched up) and the lume looks waffled so it's likely a 1.8-2.9m serial. https://gmtmaster1675.com/mark-1/

Thanks for input. It’s a 2xxxxxx serial.. my good friend has a 71 that I’ve been obsessed over for a few years. His is mint full kit so I have made myself somewhat familiar. I’m my know means well off so if I take a hit it’s a real hit. Off the crap pics provided considering the dials not touched up and it is over polished what’s a fair offer?

It looks potentially pretty good to me. Don't think the photos are doing it any favours. The lume looks all intact and matching between dial and hands.

Could do with better-angled photos to see what the chamfers look like. The crown guards look quite 'soft' but I've seen worse.

HQ Milton have a nice 1968 example up for $16,550 which seems a pretty good price for a dealer in the current climate. Using this as a benchmark, and deducting for the one you're looking at being less nice, missing the end links, probably needing a service and being a private sale, maybe $11,500 if everything stacks up?

That high? I would have said that $9,000 could be a fair price for that watch. Even in this crazy market. But I can be perfectly wrong.

For the OP, have you checked watchrecon.com to see the asking prices for this particular reference? That could also help to define a fair price for that watch.

Any 1675 of this age will have seen a polishing wheel during a service at some point. It’s not mint but not terrible either. You’ll want to see it in person under a loupe. Cleaned up with the original bracelet... I’d be thinking US$10k-$15k. More if there are accessories...

Bummer. That watch would be a good buy at $11k, if dial and hands are in excellent condition under that banged up crystal. Cleaned up and serviced, it’s worth $13k+. GMT prices are going crazy.
