Greetings OF,

For sale today is my 1969 Seiko 6139-6000. It’s an early and rare example of what’s now referred to as a Blue “Pogue” (I use those quote marks liberally) 😀 These are often put together with fake/cobbled together parts, but this one is (with the exception of the crystal), and to the best of my knowledge, entirely original. I purchased this watch from Hub City Vintage and it was serviced by them. Here’s the link: https://www.hubcityvintage.com/arch...9-6000-automatic-chronograph-blue-pogue-proof

The notched case is in good original condition. It has some minor dings but it’s sharp and unpolished.

The Proof dial is a lovely deep blue that goes from a radiant starburst in sunlight to almost inky black in low light. I’ve done my best to show this in the photos.

The bezel shows some minor signs of wear, but it’s retained it’s original coloring and is, I stress again, original to the watch. The same can be said of the inner bezel (though it shows a little more oxidation).

The hands, while attractive, have lume degradation, and I’ve done my best to show this in the photos as well.

The movement was serviced by Hub City Vintage in May of 2021. It keeps good time and shows the signs of a recent service (the inner bezel turns with ease, the quick set date works as it should, the rotor spins with ease, the chronograph starts-stops-resets perfectly, etc.)

It’s paired with a used Unkle Seiko bracelet that’s been fitted with a period correct Seiko clasp.

I’m asking $900 USD for this (less than I payed a year ago) OBRO. This includes shipping to anywhere CONUS. A CONUS sale is preferred but not necessary. International shipping to be discussed. Payment via Zelle or PP F&F. No returns unless I’ve grossly misrepresented something.
