·As promised, here is an update with more photos. I installed the fake bezel on the 166.027 and confirmed that it does fit. It actually fits pretty well and the fake case is dangerously similar, but there is a little (very slight) bit of play in the bezel. After installing it, I do now lean closer to taking the bezel from the 165.027.

165.027: the case and dial on this one is much rougher to put it lightly. It was sold by a pawn shop and I surmise they may have been the ones to go to town on the caseback, because it otherwise would have looked nice.
