·For Sale is my prized short-lugged 1968 Omega Admiralty 166.038.
Automatic Date model using caliber 565 movement.
This was repeatedly featured in the Comprehensive Admiralty thread I started on OF in 2018.
From the first year of production in 1968, this non-diver Admiralty has the rare SHORT LUG case which I personally prefer because it's easier to find bracelets that work and there's less of a case-lug gap when using a 2 piece strap as seen on the more common long-lug version.
It was EXPERTLY serviced in 2020, but I chose NOT to have the original winding crown replaced as these originals are no longer made the replacement one is not quite the same shape. I also requested no case case refinishing.
Here's what's included:
This Geneve Admiralty with its original and clean matte black dial with orange accents, "ghost" hands and orange seconds hand to match the orange hour indices. Original signed acrylic crystal with its magnification lens highlighting the black on steel date window. The Admiralty comes to you on an Uncle Seiko 1035 Flat link bracelet fitted nicely to the 17mm lugs and an Omega clasp cover. A flash drive with detailed photos and a 88 page illustrated PDF explanation of the thorough servicing of this watch will be included, as well as a few spare links, all shipped in the pictured Omega red service case which nicely doubles as a travel case.
Priced at $1250 which includes shipping in the USA
Thank you for looking!
