1966 Vintage Omega Seamaster Deville No Date 165.020 - £500

Hey guys,

Today I have a much more “modern” Omega than usual for me (those who don’t know me I usually sell 1940s Omegas). This one is a stunning Seamaster Deville, with unusual dial dating to a very special year for us English - 1966 - the year we won the World Cup.



I was fortunate to buy this from a gentleman who inherited from his uncle who bought it back in the 60s and it is clear he looked after it very well.

Dial
As you can see the beautiful sunburst silver dial is in a very nice preserved condition. It is quite unusual layout using large Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, and baton markers between those. There is a very light patina, but much of this is dramatised by the photos. There are lume plots at 3,6,9 and 12 also and the hands have lume, although now darkened in colour. The dial and hands are all original and overall it is very good untouched condition.

Case
Another special this about this reference is the case, and what everybody loves - the three dimension Seamaster medallion on the caseback. It all appears to be unpolished and the chamfers are all present - a very well preserved piece. All is original including the crown and the crystal (with tiny logo in centre).

Movement
The movement is a 550 calibre automatic movement and it is running very strong. I haven’t had it serviced during my ownership however so I would recommend factoring in a service at some point in the future. I have not however noticed anything that would bring me any concern.

Strap
The pictured strap is not included. The watch is sold as head only, however if you would like I will add one of my spares to it for you to wear straight away free of charge.
