1964 Omega Speedmaster - Real value?

Hi All!

I was hoping some of the knowledgeable Omega folk around here might have some wisdom to share.

My father gave me his Speedmaster back in the mid 90's after having it serviced by Omega in Sydney (I still have no idea why!!). It's a completely original '64 (Serial #2208-8683) in full working order, and it has effectively been sitting in my drawer ever since! I like the watch, who wouldn't, but I know by now I'll never wear it and having it sit in a drawer is pretty pointless and a complete waste.

Based on advice from Speedmaster101, I have not touched it, other than giving it a light wipe down, and while I have put it up for sale on Relleb, I am wondering what it's true/real value is? The prices seem to fluctuate wildly, depending where you look, so I am wondering if someone could offer some advice?

Many thanks in advance!

1.Your dial is shot and I mean shot.
2.Bracelet is very worn.
3.Hour hand looks to be a service item, could be the photo but looks wide.
4.DON 90 bezel shows a hard life rubbing under a shirt cuff with dings every where.
5.Service crown.
You will know soon enough if you get any bites .

Unfortunately, the condition is really going to hold it back. It's really not a watch for a collector, which makes it hard to put a value on. That said, it definitely has some valuable parts, notably the bracelet and especially the end-links.

Edit: I just checked out your asking price and I don't think it's outrageous, just based on the value of the parts.
