I am hereby putting a very special Certina DS up for sale.
It is, as I described recently on here, the best DS I have ever held and the condition is near faultless. I have a great deal of love for these watches and the reason why I am parting ways with this one is that I cannot justify having 3-4 quite dressy DS' and this one is in such stellar condition that I feel very conscious of protecting it when wearing it.
The dial is flawless, with a tiny piece of debris at 1 o'clock in relation to the DS logo as the only detractor. Lume is perfekt, hands are perfect, date wheel is perfect, markers... You get the picture.
The case is near flawless, with only a few marks on the caseback and hairlines on the sides of the 14k gold cap case. I couldn't capture these with my camera, sorry. Note that the matte caseback finish is rather excellent.
The cal. 25-651 runs great, but is unserviced. I doubt this has seen many hours on the wrist, but oils will naturally be dried out. The crown action is superb, just like setting or winding a new watch with a tight seal. The crown is original.
Unless you find a NOS Certina DS, this is as good an example you will ever see.
The DS is available for €500 - now €450 - via bank transfer, tracked shipping included. Watch and I are located in Denmark, EU. I will happily accept returns within a week of receipt. The watch will be shipped on the high quality JB Champion semi-stretch band I originally got it on which is in good condition with only a slight kink in the stretchable part.
