Hi Everyone, With the kind help from one of our esteemed experts, I was able to get this beautiful RG Connie with original dial and hidden crown. The seller advertised it with RG indices, and I was delighted to see it also has the RG case. The RG and Black dial is a beautiful combination, and the hidden crown feature is a nice added touch. It appears the crown may have been replaced. Notice the comparison to my yellow gold 167.005 especially the lug difference. Here are several shots.
Black vs white, date vs no date, straight lugs vs dog leg lugs, yellow gold vs rose gold, and even two slightly different pie pan edges. About as nice of a contrast as you can get for 2 60's Constellations.
Congrats on this one. For vintage connies pink gold markers on an original black piepan dial in good shape is special - not many of these around.
I keep coming back to this page and drooling... YOU did very well on this one! And hope you enjoyed your vacation.
sorry for putting this thread on the top, but during my search it was the only post where i found the watch which is offered to me. I am able now to know the exact reference of this one, 168004 , cal 561 ! Anyway, yours looks amazing congrats! I am waiting for better pics, but if someone with good eyes could already tell me if this dial is redial or looks original...(sorry for the quality...) there are some other connies around but i will try to identify them by mylself later
