I'm blown away by your testimonials <roll eyes>.
The dial has obviously been refinished.

yeah, i can find plenty of matching images. I was wondering if there was a traditional ref number. I'll use the L6298.
Just using 6298 is fine - when I search this on the Omega Extranet I do get back a gold case with a 550 movement. It lists the replacement parts that are available for the case also.

Take a look at the other two from the OP. (They're really part of one thread.)
Just took a look and I don’t get it. Why come here to a place littered with experts and be combative?!

Another satisfied customer.
You got to it before I did, Dan. Well done, sir.

Presumably because he wants to set up a narrative supporting the piece as something it is not. Some fora allow that kind of crap. This one does not so the toys are thrown out of the pram.

If bs isn't called out, before you know it you have put together Speedmasters with fake provenance being sold for millions. Oh wait...

That is what he tried over at WuS. What you are not seeing is where he posted an all caps screed accusing me of “crapping on his post” and my response saying I answered his question and wanted WuS members to see his general attitude. Both of those posts were deleted by the mods.

Then he took down his pictures and left in a huff.

It’s clearly a redial. He knows that I’d assume. Probably not a good idea to post to get feedback and just silently post the watch for sale. If he doesn’t want feedback, don’t ask for it.

To be fair, he did not list it for sale on WuS. He asked the same question as here, but when I mentioned that he posted here also, he went off on me.

My ears are burning 😉

This time absolutely not, OP reaction to @sheepdoll was way out of line.
