Just come across this Constellation, and was wondering what members views are on it
The movement looks clean to me and the stars on the case back clear and defined
In my opinion the dial is original but not sure on the winding crown
The seller tells me it has just been serviced
To me it doesn’t look over polished but this is one area I do find difficult to access
Also comes with a nice period box as a bonus
Price of asking is £1200 which seems reasonable to me

I don't believe the movt. has been serviced. The yellow gasket should have been replaced, & it hasn't.
    The case looks good.

    What he said.

Crown is most likely incorrect, as dogleg cases should have decagonal crowns IMO.

If the seller says that these are pre-service photos, ask for a receipt of said service clarifying what was done. There is rotor wear which has to be looked at during service and is potentially costly to fix.

Even if it had been serviced, £1200 seems excessive to me.

    What they said.
There is a lot of bubbling on the dial of the OP watch -which is fine if you’ve noticed it and you’re okay with that.
On some watches you really can’t see it unless you look really hard - on others it stands out.

While the case is quite nice the asking price of £1200 is high for a less than perfect dome dial dog-leg.

    About £3- 400 too much
I don’t like the difference in movement part colours

    Mine for comparison

I actually prefer the dome dials over the pie pans but the market doesn’t agree so they do tend to sell for less.

    Lovely watches though.

Looks like the rotor has been contacting the rest of the movement (what's that part called?).
