Inherited this watch from my grand father it's a 1962 Omega 18k gold watch caliber 600 32mm x 38mm. Need help figuring out a price I could get for this watch as I need money. It's a shame I have to let it go and not too sure about how to price it. Ive had people tell me $500-$1,000 and others $1,500-2,500. Any information would help thanks a-lot!
In the future, upload the pictures directly to Omega Forums- don't use imgur.

I believe the watch would fetch around $600-650 if you were to auction it off on eBay.

Most jewellery stores would offer you the scrap price of the gold, possibly plus 10%.

I'd sell on eBay.

Not even sure it would be that much in this market. It is smallish, the dial has blemishes and the pictures are not crisp enough so it’s not even clear that it’s original.

better pictures of the dial would be helpful- you need to put your phone on top of a mug to have a crisp and steady shot.
Best regards

If someone has valued it at 1500-2500, see if they want to buy it from you.

They valued it at 1500-2500 and offered 400?

Did you manage not to laugh?

I'd think probably 400-600 if it's 14ct.

What would you personally value this at then? I was hoping to get at-least $800 minimum from it as I need to pay bills. Also I did laugh and told them that they were high.

I already said above 400-600, dependant on condition.
It's a semi guess as I don't know the weight and as these smaller, 32mm Seamasters aren't hugely popular, the gold value will play a part in the overall value.

I don't personally thing you're getting towards 800 I'm afraid.

I see. Yes a bit. I still don't see it near 800.

What's the weight?

I think 400 is pretty good for this. The dial is refinished and it’s got blemishes.

You can use that to roughly work out the value (obviously minus a token amount for the movement and dial etc which aren't gold).

On this type of watch the movement etc accounts for close to half the total weight, these are not heavy cases.

$400 is pretty reasonable considering the condition.

I would bite their hand off for $700. Good luck. Hope you work your financial issues out soon.

Why did the OP edited his post? I have the impression this Thread was a hidden sales post.😗

Looks like he didn't like the answers he got. Maybe he was just here to sell and now wants to cover this tracks. Shame someone reposted the pics lol.

The burning question is, Greatest Of All Time at what?
