Hi everyone, I've just bought an early 1960s Seamaster via online auction, and am have been trying to find out what the original stainless steel bracelet options were when it was released. I don't know the serial number yet, but do know it's model no is 14700 1 SC, with a 552 movement and 18mm lugs. Failing anyone knowing what the original steel bracelet options were, can anyone suggest a suitable Omega beads of rice bracelet? I've read the finials would need to be either 570 or 70 but haven't been able to verify that yet. I haven't received the watch yet, but shall post some photos when I do. Thanks in advance.
I have the opposite problem, I have the BOR Bracelet with one 70 endlink and I don’t know which Seamaster it fits.
Hi Rico, congrats to your first post on OF and your Seamaster! I think a 1503 with 70 (or later 570) end links is the most realistic option though it's not an original setup for early 60ies. I have one on my Constellation (diameter 34mm) so it should fit a Seamaster with the same size as well. Keep an eye on the length! Take care
Thanks @Passover - what do you think of this bracelet - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.de/ulk/itm/302987354803 - genuine? The end links have no ref markings so l'd need to source the 570 or 70 separately.
Very sceptical on this one, clasp "engraving" looks very different than usually, No "No12"link elements also, would avoid this for shure! From an older OF post for comparison: https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-bor-bracelet-1503-no-12-with-70-end-links.64994/
Hi, i just get an Omega Seamaster 30. Don´t want to open the watch by myself so i could not tell you the serial number, but it has a 1503 bracelet with 70 endlinks.
