·Intro: Up for sale today is a beautiful 10K yellow gold filled Omega Seamaster reference KL6312 presentation watch sporting a linen dial with a clean 560 movement. Purchased in August of 2022, this is one more of several date window watches that I’d like to move on to a better home.
Dial: T SWISS MADE T Linen dial with sharp gold markers, doubled at 6, 9, and 12. As you can see there is a missing plot at 3 o’clock. Clean overall with a few specks of dust, any damage appears to be on the crystal.
Case: 10K Gold filled case and bezel with stainless steel back. Unpolished in my hands but not sure prior to my ownership. Examine the photos of each lug carefully. No damage beyond typical scratches of a watch that was worn proudly. Caseback stamped
Crown: Should be the correct crown, not sure if it’s original to the watch but the wear and coloration appears consistent with the rest of the watch.
Crystal: Unsigned replacement crystal with minor scuffs and scrapes but not really visible to the naked eye
Movement: Caliber 560, what some consider to be a rare US Only movement as only 3,000 (!) were reportedly made for the US Market to bypass increasing taxes on imported Swiss watches. Read more HERE at Desmond's blog. Serial number 27632793 dates it to 1965 putting it close to the end of the production run in 1967. Running as adjusted on the timegrapher but it could probably use a service as it was not done while I owned it not prior to me purchasing it. Appears to be a tiny bit of rotor rub at one point. As you may or may not notice, there was some damage around the movement holder screws that I had repaired recently. (Receipt in hand.)
Strap: Generic black saffiano leather with generic gold plated buckle
Price: $1500 OBRO. (No returns unless the watch is something less that is described here. Pictures represent part of the description.
