1959 Omega Seamaster Chrono

Hi All,
After inheriting my fathers insanely beautiful Omega Seamaster, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the original box would have looked like ( I’m pretty sure not the modern day red) and where I might be able to buy one? This will be a family heirloom and I’d really like to pass it on to my son with an original (albeit replaced) box.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Great resource to learn about boxes.
Post pictures of your watch

Once you get idea of box you want then check eBay they come up often. Pay attention to insert which is often missing

Not 100% sure but I believe it's a steel watch, right? It looks a bit like mine, the KO2907, the steel version would be CK2907.

Don't have the box but i thought that knowing the reference might help you find it out

This thread looks like your watch. Hard to Know exactly which box came with it unless you can find original owner full set. Search the reference maybe one will pop up.
There are period correct boxes which would be close, but actual box was usually a point of sale choice by dealer.

Here a 2 older boxes but hard to know if from 50s or 60s. Green one missing insert.

Edit: the green one has “Automatic chronometer” text so it would not be correct for your watch which looks like cal 321 handwind
