Dear all. I am hereby offering my stainless steel Omega Constellation from 1959 for sale. This Constellation has an uncommon dial variant with a two-line text in the top part, lacking the "officially certified" normally found on Constellations. I wrote about finding this particular watch here (I have since put in a new gasket..!). The watch features the correct decagonal crown and a good-looking case with signs of wear. Bevel on the bezel is still well defined and the condition overall is good. The diameter is a shade under 35mm and lug width is 18mm. The caseback is in fair condition, but for some reason the "waterproof" and "Constellation" text is missing - if may have been polished off, but the caseback shows no signs of heavy polishing and still presents well. Note that the below photo was taken in quite harsh lighting. The dome dial with crosshairs is, as can be seen above, very well preserved with only some mild shading being present at the Omega logo and 5 o'clock marker. The gilded, applied markers are excellent and all the luminous material is present. The hands have some oxidation, but not excessive IMO. The movement is a 24-jewel chronometer-rated cal. 505 and is in good condition. It starts running immediately after picking up and power reserve seems to be good. The rotor shows mild signs of rubbing and I would recommend having the watch serviced, should you wish to wear it. I have no knowledge of any service history. Note that the crystal is a replacement I put in myself as the original had shattered. It is a good fit, but should be changed at service time.
