I've been offered this by a friend. The crown has fallen out but he has it. Any thoughts or anyone know how much it might cost to fix the crown etc?
I haven't got a serial number so unsure of the year - any guesses?

That is a late 1960s model from an era when the Geneve name represented entry level. That is an interesting dial though, it looks like a sparkle effect, which would be nice, though it might just be a normal champagne dial covered in patina!

It is certainly not from the era you are hoping for. The 1950s Geneve is a very different beast, positioned just below Constellation in the Omega pecking order. Here is what a Geneve from the late 1950s looks like:

Thanks. The 50s model is very nice! How much would you value the one I've been offered at (roughly)?

Is it solid gold or plated? Manual wind movement presumably, something like a 601?

Solid gold is what I've been told with a wind movement

I actually sold something just like that about 6 months ago. This should give you some idea of what a serviced one in decent condition goes for. The dial on the one you show is an unknown though, a genuine sparkle dial can add value, if indeed what is what it is. Don't forget that to get the one you show serviced and fitted with a new crown could cost £150-200!

Very helpful, thanks!

The dial is like a glittering eggshell texture.

He has the crown, it needs to be refitted but I'll budget for around £150
