Greetings OF,

For sale today is my 1958 Omega Seamaster 2846. As many of you know, these dials have a greater tendency than others to develop a heavy patina and this watch certainly falls in that category. This is a reluctant sale from me, but I recently acquired another gold-capped Omega here, so I’m thinning the herd a bit.

Dial: What was originally a two-tone silver and white dial has turned to a mostly uniform dark on light caramel. The gold markers are in great shape and the lume is extant and creamy. It’s hard to capture just how lovely the dial wears in person, but hopefully that’s more apparent in the wrist shots.

Hands: Original dauphine, gold hands are heavily oxidized. The lume is entirely intact and creamy.

Case: 34.5mm gold capped and perhaps unpolished. Certainly honest. The lugs are thick, and the oversized hippocampus on the back is about as crisp as it gets. That said, it’s certainly been worn and has minor scuffs and scratches.

Crystal: Authentic Omega. It’s in serviceable condition, but has some dings.

Movement: Original 501 is clean and running well. Shows no signs of water damage. Winds and sets smoothly. The rotor spins freely. Service history unknown.

Asking $750 USD. Price includes tracked, insured shipping anywhere CONUS. It comes with the strap pictured. It’s a very lightly used Hirsch and I think it pairs with the dial perfectly. A CONUS sale is preferred. Payment via Pay Pal F&F or Zelle. No returns. Happy to answer any questions!
