This may be an understatement: "The signed off white dial shows some aging....." I understand magnification over exaggerates details but in my opinion, that's not a $1500 specimen.

It's around a $1000 watch, give or take. The medallion and bezel condition is fine, the dial is a bit too aged for my taste, but I'm concerned about what looks like some pitting on the case back.

Rose gold dial furniture - quite uncommon. Yep, some pitting, but it looks like the gasket held out and prevented any rust from occurring on the steel movement parts. It's a good, honest piece and I think Dennis hits the mark with value.

Now, where's Kyle when you need him to salivate over the quite, but not quite even patina :)

Do these typically keep decent time at this age?

Eh, this one is ok...doesn't quite have me salivating though. :p It's a decent watch though for around $1k.

I like a certain amount of patina on a dial. Verdigris less so. But to each their own.
    Best,

Nice watch, but a bit too pricey. The ebay options looks more acceptable to me

I'd say that's nuts for a striper/tropical/whatever you call these steel backs, but I'm focused on Speedy education. A degree in Connie is too intensive!

$3099?!?!?!?! What the f::censored:: is going on with THAT listing?!?!?!

The 3 feedback bidder keeps pooching up the price. Something smells fishy.
