    Hi All,

I have a 1957 Seamaster. Can someone comment? The watch isn't complete (crown and strap are not original). I think I want to buy a matching crown and strap.

    Thanks!

Best to compare to other dials, but in this case, look at "SWISS MADE" and how it looks like too much ink was used and the letters blur together.

Dial might be original to the watch but it has been reprinted. Usually re-diallers don't get the font quite right and letters and markers are not as sharp as the originals.

    Yes, it's real. A real bitsa. The 2964 should house a caliber 520, not a 510.

I think SC stands for seconds center (no seconds subdial). So this is quite a frankenwatch.

Caliber 510 is correct for reference 2970, the second reference number on the case back.

Good to know! I wondered why there was two numbers on the case back. It’s a shame the 2970 isn’t on the vintage omega database site
