1954 Omega Seamaster

Hi everyone,
I am looking into purchasing a 1954 Omega Seamaster. I wanted to get some ideas of the value of a watch like this. I know the pictures are a bit rough, but i rarely see a black dial with cross hairs that appears to be original. Thanks in advance.

I've seen this watch come around a few times on Ebay and had it been in Europe I would have bought it at the asking price which IIRC was $500 or so. My money is on a good original dial and I'd take a punt that the condition is also a lot better than those awful pictures suggest.
