Makesbelieve
·Morning/Evening lovely OF members!
I just have a quick question about this 2576 from 1954 that's come up for auction.
Its case and movement check out (a 2576 with a 344 heart) but wouldn't an example this late in the ref. production (144.. serial - 1954) finally have had the word 'Seamaster' printed on the dial? The case back has the Seamaster designation just not the dial. Which makes my inexperienced head get slightly suspicious...
Any help setting my ignorance straight would be greatly appreciated.
Greetings from the South Pacific!
