My answer is pretty simple, I dont know of any hence I threw the question out there.
I agree with others who state there were over 9000 Omega 53's issued.
Kind regards.

I am not particularly well up on these (mainly as I don't particularly like the heavy printing on the dial) but if I remember was there thought to be 3 separate orders of these in 1953? The dates quite close together for some strange reason. Don't know what the (potential) total order was though.

Still wrong. kind regards. achim

Would you like to expand on that? The threads on MWR seem pretty conclusive that there was more than one order which points towards a total in excess of 9000.
(included in the link attached to my previous post)
I'm genuinely interested to hear the counter argument for this and happy to be corrected if it's wrong.

A long time since I read Ken's Zulu Time so just had a look. It seems to me that he is unsure how many '53 watches were ordered from Omega but he suspects more from correlating the case back numbers. I will add the paragraph from Zulu Time below.

Not quite. One order. Different deliveries. All in 1953. Kind regards. Achim

Again: All numbers issued in 1953 by the MoD are for ALL issued watches from different manufacturers. Pls. start your research with a request for information at the omega museum, if you do not believe the original order form. And do the same for IWC and and JLC MK 11's. Konrad Knirims book will help you as well. And : there is no counter argument. You have to proof your point. Everything else is based on Omega Information. You do not believe = you provide proof. That's where I'm looking for others opinions as I can't think of any other watches issued in 53 in large volumes?
