Dear all. I am hereby putting up another collection stalwart, my Constellation 2782. I've had this one for a couple of years and in January 2017 it was serviced at Watchguy after which is has been worn occasionally. The serial number points to a production date in very late 1953, but I have no extract to pinpoint it more precisely. Cosmetically, the case is in decent condition with the caseback showing the most wear; the observatory is somewhat worn and the "Constellation" and "waterproof" text is shallow. The bezel and lugs looks good though and I will assume that it has only been polished sparingly. Some slight scratches on the case is visible. The crown is an incorrect clover crown, which is slightly less annoying to operate than the decagonal one and looks reasonable with the case so I have let it be. The dial has some aging to it as well as minor scratches, only really notably to the edge of the dial between 11 and 12. Please look at the picture and judge for yourself. The golden, large arrowhead markers and two-tone dome dial are classic 50's Constellation. I have no pictures of the movement as I cannot locate my case knife and I am loathe to mess around with the snap-back which is quite firmly shut; the pictures from Watchguy show some wear to the edge of the rotor - the £200 service has put any mechanical maladies to rest. A full photographic log is available online for the service done. I must stress that the above timegrapher picture is nearly two years old, so performance could be different. I do not test watches for accuracy or amplitude etc. I am asking €1050 for this Constellation (watch only) ex. shipping, bank transfer only.
