Something wrong with this picture?
The regulator adjustment is all the way over to one side?

I saw the 351 as well, but do not know the refs well enough to have an opinion.

I noted the 351 vs 352 stamp but I wonder if the fact it is a US market watch (OXG) is significant perhaps. Also during this era Omega did produce some movements in chrono rated version and others not with the same number so that in itself isn’t a guaranteed red flag but I note that Rannft doesn’t mention chronometer 351s and he sometimes does where this is the case. It’s a concern certainly and might be another indication of parts swapping. That said I’m fairly sure I’ve seen other straight chrono rated 351s

Whoever suggested this watch could be worth more than 2000 USD (or even 1500) I wonder what they’ve been smoking.

Don't underestimate the heft of those beefy lug cases. While I agree 2000USD isn't realistic, had this been a legit cal. 352 I believe 1500USD to be in a realistic ballpark. I know I'd pay that money for a good 18k 2577 case + cal. 352.

In addition to the regulator, the ratchet wheel displays the finish usually associated with chronometer calibers, so who knows.
As some here have said of Omega: "Never say never".

I don’t underestimate them at all and I never even suggested 1500 is too much; I think they’re great but the OP suggested they could be worth anywhere between 1500 and 12000 (yes «12k »). Hello??
I actually like this one, even with service dial but this case is a bit overpolished for my taste.

I don’t think it is.

My guess is that the balance, rotor and dial were all replaced. Given that the gold case was used for both chronometer and non-chronometer models, and there are already questions about the dial, who knows what happened years ago?

I have a 18k double references like that but powered by a 351.
I paid $1800 for it 12 years ago.
