I just bought a vintage Seamaster and I'm wondering about the authenticity/originality
of the watch - what do you think?

One of the worst redials you will see. In fact, I am adding it to my comic library.

Here’s a 1950’s Omega Seamaster from my collection (not a 2802’s). Look at it carefully, especially the dial, and then look at your dial. You should be able to distinguish why your watch is a redial.

Sorry but that’s a terrible watch. The dial is horribly, horribly repainted and the case is in poor, heavily polished condition.

Unless you got that REAL cheap (like $200), you got scammed. If you can get a refund, you should. Else, hopefully a lesson.

You probably feel a bit down now after some harsh (but truthful) answers.

You aren't the first person to buy a pig in a poke, so return it if you can, otherwise resign yourself to it.

If you ever decide to buy another vintage Omega, spend some time reading this.


And even when you think you're somewhat of an expert after absorbing all of that, check here first before buying!
