    Happy Canada Day Everyone.

    FOR THE NON-DATE LOVERS!

I have for sale my all original Certina from the late 40s early 50s. The watch is in great condition; it has some light scratches, but all of the edges are very sharp! It has a 33mm diameter without crowns. I just changed the Crystal. Service history unknown and I have no picture of the movement. I don't have the tools to open the case back but if demanded I can, of course, bring it to my watchmaker

The only information I could find was on the Rafft website http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&0&2usau&1171468846 Same watch; the same serial number lets assume that this one is gold plated.

Asking 100 CHF (Swiss francs) and open to offers.

Still don't have any references, although some should slowly be coming in. As usual, I will do my best to make this deal as transparent as possible to make you comfortable, and I expect the same from you. Paypal is fine, but I would prefer bank transfer.

Questions? Ask away. French or English, can also do some Spanish.

Watch is in Switzerland and I'm Canadian = super friendly and honest!

Not unheard of, but karat gold cases with steel backs are very rare.

The only information I have and could find comes from the website cited above.
"Case: 8694 15 - 48632, Fond Acier Inoxydable, Swiss Made - 18K gold (no hallmark, but proved), steel push back, D=33mm".

I can, of course, be wrong and the price does not reflect a gold watch.

    EDIT: @Canuck

I just read the rest of the description, and here it is in full:

    Accessories: none
Case: 8694 15 - 48632, Fond Acier Inoxydable, Swiss Made - 18K gold (no hallmark, but proved), steel push back, D=33mm
    Band: leather
Dial: Certina - silvered, sunk sub second, applied digits and markers
Movement: Swiss Made - calibre , 17 jewels, Incabloc
Condition: C1, B0, D1-2, M0-1, the genuine gold back, usually carrying the hallmarks, was certainly replaced by this steel back

This watch has the same back!

Which means he could be completely wrong, the back was never replaced it came this way. So I have no idea if it's gold. I will edit the title and to gold plated. When in doubt.
