·Hello dear members, long time no sell! Been a day since I sold a watch here but am offering to the members here before I release it to the hounds on that other site…
Offered for your consideration is my 1948 Omega Centenary with the original box it came in. This watch was worn and loved as intended and not abused. The 18k dial shows a spot at 3 o’clock and a few between the indices at 1 and 2, otherwise it is retains a beautiful gold look and even patina. Hands are original and flawless. 18k gold case is in beautiful condition with a very tight caseback fit. The movement being the cal. 30,10 RA PC JUB, is keeping great time as it should while setting and winding smooth, bumper auto winder working as it should as well. There are clear signs that the auto rotor bearing failed in the past but was replaced sometime in its life. There are several service marks on the inner caseback so we do know it has seen serviced in the past but has not been serviced since I have owned so I would recommend new owner have it serviced for their own piece of mind however zero issues since in my hands.
The Omega box this watch was delivered in is the first variant .800 Silver Omega Jezler smooth top box. Like nearly all watch boxes we see, the inner tray and lid are missing. The original owner used the box to store his old silver change from pre 1964. I have chosen not to polish the box and it has a rich patina. If the new owner chooses to polish the box, one can expect a beautiful silver sheen after the patina is removed. I like the aged look, others might not.
Being the watch is not what many consider perfect due mainly to the dial spotting, I am offering this watch and box at a reasonable price of $2250 or best offer, free shipping CONUS and at cost to international destinations. I accept both PP and Venmo as forms of payment. If you would like references, just ask LouS or WatchFred and I’m sure you will be more than satisfied!
Thank you and best wishes to all!
