1944 women's Omega - missing crown

I picked this up for $11 the other day and was hoping to find a crown that might work with it. I wasn't sure if I would be able to track down a crown and expect it to fit the threads or if I need to find a whole replacement stem+crown.

At $11 I'm not really concerned if it never runs again but I think it's an interesting piece and I'm a sucker for the blue second hand so I'd like to give it a shot.

Does anyone know what movement this actually is, I was hoping for the standard 3 characters to go by but all I see is OX6 and that didn't come up with many results.

I know there aren't many posts for women's watches so it might be a long shot.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Why don´t you measure the stem an seek for a non branded crown which matches the thread and the colour of the case?

Yeah, I'll probably grab a generic one for now and try and track down a branded one in time. Trying to figure out what to look for on ebay is where I'm hitting a road block now.

Going by the movement serial number I am quite confident that the watch originally had an unbranded(=smooth) crown

And it seems to be a US cased example - so I would not bother too much about the crown...

Fair enough! That'll certainly save me some headaches 😀 thanks for the heads up.

The movement looks like the 240, 250 family, or even R13.5SC, but fitted with an indirect center second complication.

Here's my wife's cocktail watch.

It's either a 250 or 251 - the 252 has Incabloc...

FYI - That is actually OXG, the US import code for movements imported by Norman Morris, the US importer for Omega products at the time. As already noted by @mac_omega, this is a US cased watch.
