Here is a real piece of history - the famous Omega RAF watch of WW2.

This was made in 1940s and could very well have played a role in Britain winning along with her allies WW2.

This is a beautiful piece in great condition for the age.

The dial is remarkable and cleaner than most from this era.

The case is a rare example, as due to the relative thinness of the lugs, they often are found broken, and as such are often shortened this example appears to maintain the original length as designed for the RAF. The case does appear to have been polished at some time through its life and we could deduce this could be why there are no markings on the caseback where 6B/159 would usually be seen. I believe the case to be duralumin, a hard aluminium alloy with a steel case back.

Case back shows older serial ref not 2292, which I understand was found on some examples.

The crown is unsigned and I believe it to be original.

The movement is running well, although I have not tested it for accuracy. As with all vintage watches I recommend that the buyer services it, as this one in particular has not been serviced during my ownership. I have however had no reason to suggest that a service is immediately necessary - this however is up to your discretion upon receiving the watch.

Please observe all photos and the description with care as I offer no returns.

    Price: £1600 ONO

Feedback: Four sales so far on here and four satisfied buyers:

I also have over 300 positive Ebay feedback and amazon feedback.

Thank you omega forums for the platform to sell, I hope someone likes the watch it’s a fantastic piece that in my opinion is an example of a great vintage dress watch for your collection!

Over and out - Ollie :)
