I have a 1940's Omega Moonphase Watch, 18k Rose gold, good condition, crown not original. See pictures. I've owned it for about 16 years, was handed down in the family. Asking $3500.00 or best offer.

I had 2 more photos of the insides, not sure why they didn't upload. I think my dad bought this watch in the mid 50's. Watch movements are in working order. 17 jewels. Another piece of info is a jeweler looked it up for me recently and found it listed in his books, seems there were 2 types of faces, one with numbers and one with hashes. Serial number matches the end of 1940's. The band of course is not original. The rest can be seen in the photos. Case has a dent in the back.
I'd love to hear more in anyone has any input. I would almost keep it, but I really don't wear it.

It's definitely a redial. There are quite a few owned by members around here so maybe they'll show you pictures. If the moonphase is in working order it will get some interest, but I don't know how much the offers will be.

Ok, good to know that it's a redial. That and the crown is not original I learned (no omega symbol on it). On the inside cover it has .750, which I am told indicates18K. The jeweler pointed out the color as being rose gold.

Yes, there should be some other hallmarks too, something like these:

Pictures of the inside of the caseback and movement would help. Do you have any to add?

Photos of the movement is advised in this case. The dial has been refinished and the moonphase, month and day wheels look quite aged. All these plus the case not well sealed from the elements makes the movement condition suspect to say the least.

Here are the missing pictures I had.

The caseback has the correct markings. Not sure about the condition of the movement as the ratchet and crown wheels, plus the regulator arm, look to have some discoloring like some rust was cleaned off.

It looked real clean to me with the back off. Works, wore it for about a week recently and looks to be accurate. If anyone has other thoughts, let me know. I'm curious, what condition is "normal" for a watch like this?

Also need to confirm all 3 pushers work properly.
