The Vintage Croton "D-Day Cross of Lorraine" watch is generally believed to date from 1944–1946. The Cross of Lorraine (the double-barred cross on the dial) was the emblem of the Free French Forces led by General Charles de Gaulle. During and immediately after D-Day, it became a powerful symbol of the liberation of France and resistance to Nazi occupation.

Running well and quite small next to my 1958 LeCoultre 35mm
