Hi all, brand new to this forum and wondering if anyone can shed any light on a vintage Omega ladies’ watch my Mother had hiding away for decades.

I’ve scoured the web using image searches and found an Omega serial number search which dates it to 1916. Using that I think I’ve found a newspaper advertisement from Paris in that year that shows it. But other than that, it’s a bit of a mystery.

I assume the scratched codes inside are from past services?

Still runs and keeps reasonable time. Amazing.

Any information, or tips on where I can find more information or a value is welcome! Thanks

The écureuil (squirrel) is the 15k gold hallmark

Probably the watch dates back to 1919/20

IMO the écureuil (squirrel) is the 14k gold hallmark, never heard of 15K...

As for the 'value' question, I'd say sentimental is highest, followed by scrap gold value (which IMHO would be a shame if you go that route). Unfortunately these little ladies watches don't command much on the market.

Edit: Oh, and Welcome to OF, I think you have a pretty neat watch, and you've done some digging before asking, which is wonderful!
