Saw this and I love it. Will sell all my omegas for these. But wait. It's still not enough moolah for that BIN.:p

There's no doubt I like that watch, but the money that commands is high end dress watch territory. I mean, that's in-house vintage Patek cash. Besides, I don't like the way the bracelet fits me on my YG example. I've thought of listing it with a reserve the same as scrap value ($3400-ish) and keeping the watch head to wear on a strap.

Gavin, that's actually the most reasonable B.I.N. I've seen on a WG C-case 168.009. I'm worried about that miscolored bridge though.

I've seen BIN prices of 15K+ on poorer quality models with the mesh or buckle-mesh style bracelets.

I will be tempted to sell something to buy this. But I am trying not to get watches with the date feature as I am too lazy to set them nowadays. And I have switched out all my bracelets for leather as I have tiny wrists. Bracelets just don't do it for me. But I am really tempted.::love::

Did you see that Pink Gold Constellation with the armadillo bracelet? Case was a little polished but the bracelet was nice. I can't find the link...

Ditto - both YG and WG models are very elegant watches, but I can't handle that much gold around my wrist.

Big or tiny wrist, I have never worn any watch with a bracelet. It is always with a leather-band.

    Thank-you.

He probably scrapped the bracelet. At around $3400 in melt value with nobody willing to pay for the whole correct watch, it's probably the only way he'll get some money. I'm about to do the same thing with my yellow gold example. This is the same as the pocket watch collectors who cry foul for all the melted solid gold cases, but then won't pay what a solid gold case is worth and try to get them way under scrap value. Why would any sane person accept a lowball offer when they could take it around the corner to a Joe the Jeweler or We Buy Gold store and get the value of the gold?

Makes one wish gold would seriously drop. Perhaps the good gold watches would not seriously drop, but the accessories would be affordable.

there's me quietly hoping I was the only person in the world who would notice this. I sometimes wonder why I find it so hard to understand how global internet auction sites work. I bet I'm not the only one...

Before you go and see Joe the Jeweler, why not try to list it for sale (probably, allow a delayed settlement or payable in two or three installments) and hopefully, someone may come along. It is a shame to melt such a beautiful bracelet.

    Thank-you.

If this person is asking approximately $10 000.00 for something like this, qqq .JPG

I see no reason as to why you should not get slightly more than gold-value for your original Omega bracelet. Most likely too, your bracelet is heavier than what the gentleman is trying to sell.

    Thank-you.

Honestly doubt he scrapped it, more likely someone made an offer on it separately

More than likely you are right.

As an Omega-lover, knowingly you will never allow a buyer of your original Omega bracelet to be melt it for its gold-content, unless of course there is no money left for you or your family to survive.

    Thank-you.
